Teaching IS my first love

Today I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

My achievement - I went to class.

And I had FUN.

Only to remind me that teaching is truly my first love.

Of course, having great students is a major plus point.

We talked about Teens and Porn - legitimately found in July's issue of the Reader's Digest. But of course we explored the topic and came up with much more. The content of our discussion will not be repeated here - not because it is inappropriate - contrary - it was the level of maturity that I discovered my girls have.

They are amazing people and so unappreciated by adults they encounter. I take my hat off to their parents for having raised wonderfully sensible young adults who are about to face the world in a few months.

And to those who missed my Literature class, I feel sorry for you - we had a wonderfully entertaining time with our play. It was a shame to end the class because time flew so quickly and silently that I was taken aback by the clock.

Thank you for reminding me of my place in society.

Thank you for showing me joy in my chosen vocation.
