People!?!

Sometimes, it's hard to be nice to people.

Why is it that people's first instinct is to complain about how life is unfair and then when any attempt is made to address this so called Unfairness, all efforts are unappreciated?

Is it me or do Malaysians find it hard to accept kindness?
They are so cynical that all goodness is thrown out the window for fear of something or another?

For example, some ppl complained that when it was their turn, they never got to go to cool places after PMR. So some kind soul offered them the opportunity to tag along on the current trip and what did she get - non-commital response.

Another example, some "lucky" ppl were hand-picked for a variety of reasons to go on a working trip. Those exempted made enough noise to be offered a chance of a lifetime, 3 hour entertaining event which would cost RM300+ but no was their answer. Too busy!
Does it sound like the story of the little Red Hen?

I was so swamped with work today, running around like a headless chicken and when I approached these really lucky ppl, all I got was No. Not even a thanks. So much for being appreciated.

Ungrateful and ungracious.
